Founder of Mohamed & Associates
Imtiaz Mohamed is a Professional Accountant at Mohamed & Associates, a leading accounting firm based in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, South Africa. Having over 15 years of experience in the accounting field, has built a reputation for providing expert financial guidance and support to small business owners in the region.
Imtiaz Mohamed began his career in accounting after having become a first time dad and while working and studying odd hours throughout the night through Unisa. He started out as an intern at a local accounting firm and quickly worked his way up the ranks, gaining valuable experience and knowledge along the way, and earning a Senior Accountant position.
July 2012 was a huge step for Imtiaz Mohamed as he decided to face all challenges and start his journey with the opening of Mohamed & Associates.

In addition to his work as a Professional Accountant, Imtiaz Mohamed is also active in the community. Karien Munro
Receptionist/Office Administrator
I am your Friendly Receptionist and Administrator at Mohamed & Associates, creating a sense of warmth in the office place and for all our incoming clients and visitors, happens to be one my main fortes.
My duties include and are not only limited to:
- Answering the telephone
- Welcoming clients at reception desk
- Assisting with general admin duties where needed.
I am always willing to learn new skills and improve in any aspects within the accounting genre as I aspire to become an Accountant within the forthcoming years.
I often find myself telling the boss, that the reason why clients come to visit often is to have a taste of my coffee, the in-house barista of M&A.
Chyan Storm Griffioen
Senior Accounting Clerk
I am the Senior Accounting Clerk at M&A.
My duties include and are not only limited to:
- My role consists of preparation of Financial statements
- Assisting and arranging client tax returns
- Review of accounting processing is where I find myself thriving at.
I have 11 years of experience in the accounting field and enjoy working with my team members to strengthen our skills and knowledge as a team.
Naseem Bellim
Manager
Being one of the Veterans of the firm, if I may, I have commenced working at M&A since 2015, as the dream of having the firm where it is currently, was envisioned. Growing with the firm has taught and strengthens my abilities in many ways, today I am a proud member of the brand
My duties include and are not only limited to:
- The VAT processing, Submitting of Vat returns & EMP201’s, VAT Registrations, PAYE/SDL Registration, Company Registrations etc.
- I also do payroll administration preparing of payslips and all duties relating to payroll and labour UIF and WCA.
Zahra Rasool
Personal Assistant
Being the youngest of the entire team, I Zahra pride myself as a financial science graduate who is currently employed as a junior clerk and a Personal Assistant to Imtiaz Mohamed.
My duties include and are not only limited to:
- General office administration
- Client and Business Data capturing
- Strengthening my ability as I learn the process of learning payroll administration.
M&A has given me the opportunity to improve my skillset and grow my knowledge and I am proud to be a part of this team.
Mahera Hira
Clerk
My name is Mahera Hira. Studying in the commerce field is something I have specialized in.
I have done BSC in Advance Mathematics, Statistics and Economics and the sky is not the limit for the knowledge I am yet to seek.
My duties include and are not only limited to:
- Data capturing
- Finalising of Vat
- Submissions of VAT 201, EMP501 and Provisional Taxes.
